AUSRIVAS is based on RIVPACS but unlike the UK version is more accessible via the Internet. This site gives a unique insight to

A simple to use free statistical package which was originally design for palaeontology, hence the name PAlaeontological Statistics,
but now widely used by ecologists. Allows both diversity indices to be calculated and wide range of multivariate analyses. Highly
